Call for Papers: 5G UDN (Ultra-dense Networks)

Call for papers:

In order to fulfill the future 5G capacity booming requirements, the Ultra-dense Network (UDN) will be one of the most important technologies to provide high data-rate services. The corresponding standardization and filed deployments of UDN have been conducted. But new challenges are also brought with the densely deployed mobile heterogeneous networks, such as the evolved network architecture, relationship of control plane & user plane, uplink & downlink, energy efficiency, interference mitigation, effective resource management and etc. The aforementioned technologies need to be further researched to support the UDN for 5G.

We encourage submissions on theoretical as well as experimental studies related to all aspects of ultra-dense networks for future 5G systems. Topics of interests include, but are NOT limited to, the following categories:
Evolved network architecture for 5G UDN
Radio Access Network design for 5G UDN
Control plane and user plane decoupling
User associations in UDN
Coordination techniques in UDN
Interference mitigation/avoidance/coordination for 5G UDN
QoS and QoE guaranteed service providing in UDN
Energy efficiency technologies in heterogeneous UDNs
Optimized backhaul and fronthaul design for UDN
Centralized or distributed resource allocation, scheduling and managements
Signaling overhead issues in UDN
Security and privacy issues in 5G UDN
Performance evaluation methods in 5G UDN
Trial testbed and experimentations for 5G UDN
